CA / WAC

Whenever there is a very high temperature in the furnace lining or a severe corrosive attack is to be expected, ceramic anchoring elements are used because metallic anchoring systems reach their limits here.

The anchoring elements in the CA-series, based on sillimanite / andalusite, have an alumina content of approximately 60%, which means that excellent thermal shock resistance is achieved.

The largely dimensioned head with various claws attached ensure that large retention forces can be transferred reliably onto the outer casing of this section of the system. The generously proportioned symmetrical corrugation on the shaft of the anchor ensures that the monolithic lining is firmly retained by the anchoring element.

For the attachment to the outer casing vhi offers a large selection of curved (B-series) and welded (WAC-series) retaining claws. They are made of wrought alloy and are therefore ductile and adapt flexibly to changes in loading conditions. The multiplicity of the different combinations of materials offers for every application the best technical and economical solution.

BF5B-Set

The BF5B set developed by vhi makes the precise installation of the anchor system easy and safe. On the one hand, it ensures that the retaining claw sits in the middle of the head of the anchor brick and on the other hand, that the claw/anchor brick system is exactly centred in the retaining bracket on the outer casing. Unlike using wooden wedges, for example, the components can be installed by a single person. The plastic parts used in the system soften or melt during use giving the lining the freedom of movement it needs.

The system is compatible with CAC, FAC, and WAC claws.
