Anchor pots are mixed anchors consisting of a metallic inner part and an outer prefabricated component made of refractory concrete. These are already dried/tempered or pre-fired at the factory. These anchoring systems are mainly used in the cement industry, where the use of alternative fuels requires protection of the metallic anchorage. For example, anchor pots are usually designed for a total wall thickness between 200 and 250mm.
The aim of such an anchorage is to protect the metallic inner part as much as possible from corrosive attacks. The concrete sheathing can be adapted to the respective requirements with a wide variety of concrete qualities.
For applications above 1200°C, the CAVB version was developed as a pure ceramic anchor pot. This anchor pot is attached to the furnace shell by means of a clamping system. In order to ensure safe freedom of movement and installation, BF5B-SET was adapted for the clamping system.
