Gas purging systems have been known in the steel industry for a long time. The treatment vessels of the secondary metallurgy are equipped with such gas purging systems in wall or bottom areas. From the manufacturers of gas purging systems refractory prefabricated shapes are developed for this purpose, which have a nondirectional or directed porosity.

Directional porosity can be achieved by circular cross-section gas channels or slotted cross-section gas channels.

vhi manufactures both, strips and hollow bodies in any form of PET-film. For slit-shaped cross-sections, vi supplies both, prefabricated strips, also furnished with an eye on customer request, and rolls. For circular cross sections, vi manufactures custom shapes, e.g. conical and cylindric.
