It is often necessary to repair a refractory concrete lining without the plant component being able to be out of operation for a longer period of time. In such cases where emergency repairs arise, one is often faced with the situation where areas of the lining are missing right up to the outer shell of the plant component, but where other areas are still present in part. Unlike most V-shaped anchors, anchors in the SW Series only consist of one arm. At the base end, the SW anchor can be straight (Type SWP) or at a 90° angle (Type SWH).
The SWP type is excellent for anchoring a repair layer of refractory concrete onto walls where some residual masonry is still present. Holes are drilled into the existing masonry and the SWP anchors are knocked into these holes. The pronounced corrugation of the SW anchors ensures good anchoring of the applied refractory concrete.
The SWH type is used where the complete lining has been lost. Here the SWH anchor can be easily welded on its angled base to the steel casing, whereupon the repair installation can be carried out.
